Playmats.EU for those who don't know are a company from Poland that makes lots of wargaming accessories from play mats in all sizes and materials such as rubber, PVC. Eleather to double sided mats as well as 2D terrain. They even make products for publishers and designers for their own bespoke games you may have seen some of their work in such games as Boss Monster and Call of Cthulhu.
Playmats.EU are heading to Kickstarter with their new pre painted Resinarium Bridges and Playmats.EU were kind enough to send over some to review.
I first took a look at the Stone Bridge.
Straight out of the box this felt solid and felt good quietly with a nice weight to it but not overly heavy being resin.
The Stone Bridge is a good size easily wide enough for a Space Marine Rhino tank to pass over for example.
The paint scheme looks nice and not to heavily weathered and has some random darker washes here and there enough to give an aged feel.
Unfortunately Parcel Force was a little rough with this and it arrived with one of the sides having come away a bit but by the looks of things thats not a manufacture issue more it just needs to be handled with a little more care in transit.
When its on the table you don't notice it but you can see from this that the bridge is made from 3 bits of resin with the sides glued in place rather then one big block of resin being used to cast this bridge.
This also helps to explain the weight and not being too heavy as some resin terrain can be.
Next up I took a look at the Wooden Bridge.
Again this has a good weight but its lighter then the Stone bridge and luckily no damage from postage.
The painted wood effect again looks nice for preprinted terrain and has again some random washes this time green and brown to give a weathered feel.

Some might not like the random element of the washes on this but for me its fine and I am sure the painters out there would more then able to add their own touches.

Both bridges are easily compatible with each either if you wanted to use both on the same table and have a look that does not really set it in any time frame which is great as this allows you to use them for different games
Here are a few more pictures of the bridges on the table top with some minis and vehicles to give you an idea of their size.
My Thoughts on the Resinarium Bridges.
When I first got these out of the box I was impressed with the weight (not too heavy) and the paint jobs on these bridges.
Even though I love making terrain sometimes having something that can be placed straight onto the table top and has a great look with no effort will always be welcome.

I am sure with theses bridges you could always add your own extra bits of weathering or customisation if you see fit but these have been made so the work is done for you.
I like the fact these bridges are not too stylised and look natural so they can fit in almost any game system spanning from Fantasy to Sci Fi.
Playmats.EU have done a good job here at making some terrain that looks good, thats at a good size and weight and with the ability to be able to be used in most game systems.

I also want to say thank you to Playmats.EU for providing the Rivers and Game Mat in this review.
