What's Old Is New Again..

 Well it's been a minute.

So some of my regular visitors to the site have probably noticed I have not posted a new post or anything on social media for about a year or so now.

There has been a few reason for this such as life and other things taking my attention away from the hobby and just needing a little time out.

Saying this I have been keeping an eye on the blog and I can't believe since I have been away the blog has hit nearly over 142,000 views.

Thank you to all that have read or commented on my posts.

As it s new year I am going to have a little reflection on my hobby over 2020 as a way of looking back and seeing what I managed to accomplish.

So let's take a look.

Warhammer Fantasy: Armies On Parade

This week I thought I would have a little look back at the three Warhammer Fantasy Armies I have painted this year as some times you paint something and don't get an opportunity to sit back apricate the entire project.

So let's take a look the armies.

Warhammer Fantasy: Blood In The Bad Lands Part 2

Saturday night arrived and the mission was going to be Ork vs Ork Vs WOC
(I don't like the sound of this)

We had to roll off with the lowest roller holding the hill in the middle of the battle field. Every unit on the hill friend or  foe would have  a 5+ ward save if they are on it.
At the end of the game any unit near or on the hill would get points and if we get any units on the plinth that would be 5 points or if a wizard stays there a special power is bestowed on them.

Alister rolled lowest and would defend the hill while Lee set up behind the hill and my armies in front of the hill but there was a rumbling going on over on the Ork's half of the Table.

Warhammer Fantasy: Blood In The Badlands Part 1

Well I am back after a few weeks away due to work and the fact that I just did not want to put content up for the sake of it.

So what do we have here yes thats right we have started to roll dice again and have started our new campaign for Blood In The Badlands.

This gives me a chance to run out my Warriors of Chaos Nurgle army for the first time.

Friday I arrived a Riots and the battles began..

Pictures Of Games Past: Warhammer Fantasy Edition

Before lock down Warhammer Fantasy was the most played game at start of the year with my gaming group.
We played lots of mass battles along with the skirmish version of Warhammer Fantasy
Regiments of Renown.

I thought it would be fun to stick some pictures of some of the games that were played before lockdown so you can see the armies involved and hopefully a little reminder of what we all hope we can get back too soon, rolling dice and playing games.

Here are some of the pictures.

My hobby has been a lot slower then usually these past two weeks as work has started to gather pace and finding new routines and a new way of working is taking its time.

Saying that though I have managed to get some things painted from the grey pile.

Lockdown Hobby: More Chaos & Skype Gaming

Work continues with the Nurgle Chaos army but before that I decided to go through the hobby room and make a list of all the unpainted models I have...
Lets just say I could either laugh or cry...

In any case this motivated me to get cracking and I managed to finish a few more units for the Nurgle army.

Lockdown Hobby: Nurgle Chaos Warriors

As we know its all been a bit strange with everything that has been going on lately and I hope you are all safe and well.
On line I have been looking at the amazing projects that are going on and trying to engage with the community as we all try together to keep each others sprits up.
Like most of us I have been using skype/zoom session to keep in contact with family and have set up with friends paint and chat sessions  to help with motivation and to use this time to help work through the grey pile of shame we all have.

Unfortunately for me most of the last 2 weeks  I have not been to well (much better now) so most projects and reviews have had to take a back seat for a bit but this week I have been able to pick up and brush and got to work on my Chaos Army for Warhammer Fantasy,
