Painting and Hobby Update: The Last post Before Christmas

 Hello everyone. Sorry there was not post last week this is due to ongoing building works that have not run the smoothest unfortunately.

With building work still going on this week I managed to get some time and started to think about projects for over the Christmas period and next year.

Painting and Hobby Update: It's All about Nurgle

 

As you have probably noticed over the last few weeks most of the posts have been hobby updates as now we are into Lockdown 2.0 so unfortunately the Warhammer Fantasy campaign has been on hold.

This has not stopped me continuing on with my hobby and diving into to projects.

This week I go back to my Nurgle Daemon army and add some more recruits for Papa Nurgle.

Hobby Update: More Nurgle Daemons

 So the lockdown hobby series is over as we are not in lockdown anymore but these past few weeks in-between playing the Blood In The Badlands campaign (battle reports will return this coming week as I was away so did not play any games) I have been working more on my Nurgle Daemon army.

Last time I started with some Plaguebareres but I have managed to do a lot more.

Let's take a look.

Warhammer Fantasy: Blood In The Bad Lands Part 4

Saturday night was time for fighting on one table saw the Lizard Men fighting some Ork's in a mine both trying to get out alive and quickly to help their allies on the battle field above where the Empire are fighting off an invading Ork force.

Nurgle will be turning up in turn 4.

Warhammer Fantasy: Blood In The Badlands Part 3

Here we are with week 2 of the BITB campaign and next up would be 3 linked games.

The first would be Nurgle defending a tower against an on coming Khorne army. This needs to end quick and have as many units left as what ever turn we finish and what we have left come on as a relief force to help the Empire or Ork's.

The next two games will be Phil's Empire defending a fortification against Al's on coming Ork's and thats not all the winner of the next tables game Mike2.0's  Lizard Men vs Lee's Ork's in a mine when they finish they also come on as a relief force to help the fortification battle between the Ork's and Empire.

So let's look at what happened in game one?

Warhammer Fantasy: Blood In The Bad Lands Part 2

Saturday night arrived and the mission was going to be Ork vs Ork Vs WOC

(I don't like the sound of this)

We had to roll off with the lowest roller holding the hill in the middle of the battle field. Every unit on the hill friend or  foe would have  a 5+ ward save if they are on it. 

At the end of the game any unit near or on the hill would get points and if we get any units on the plinth that would be 5 points or if a wizard stays there a special power is bestowed on them.

Alister rolled lowest and would defend the hill while Lee set up behind the hill and my armies in front of the hill but there was a rumbling going on over on the Ork's half of the Table.

Lockdown Hobby: The Painting Begins

Last week I was able to get all the of the Nurgle Daemon army undercoated and this week I managed to make a start on the painting.

The paints still drying as I only got time today but here are some pictures and the start of the painting journey for this army.

So let's take a look.

Lockdown Hobby: New, New Army

I hope everyone is well and is staying safe.

This week the blog post is a little late due to work being really busy, so for the first time in weeks I have not been able to paint any thing.

Saying that I have still managed to get a start on my new army which if you been following the blog is my Nurgle Daemons army and will be my 3rd new army this year ( 3 armies in under 6 months I must be mad :) )

So let's take a look.

The Wolves At The Door. Space Wolves Scouts Ready For Deploment.

Another painting session and a quick raid in my bits box and ebay (£2 for 5 Scouts!) sees a new Kill Team for Shadow War Armageddon/Kill Team ready for the tabletop.

The Sons of Russ ready and awaiting the glory of war.

Warhammer 40000 Conquest Review

Over the last couple of months there has been a lot of buzz regarding a weekly released Warhammer 40,000 collection magazine called Conquest which is only available in the UK at the moment that will be hitting outlets as well as having a subscrition service. 

Pictures have been released online of the first 4 issue with number 1 released today at an amazing 

£1.99!!

So whats the hype about then well I managed to grab a copy and I am going to give you a review and my thoughts on this collection.

More Dwarfs....Were Going Digging...

After Riot Ville Live I acquired a few more Dwarfs as there some units I wanted to try.
I went for  some Miners and got to work painting these up so they could be off the to do pile.

The Miners arrived in this box...

Talk about memories. My first box of Games Workshop Minis were from this edition (1996!!!) and were Khorne Berzerkers .

Yes these are Orcs...but inside are Dwarfs..

Shadow War Armageddon Day!!

To think that yesterday only happened due to a quick message from Riot after one of my terrain post!
