After the previous 3 games we all decided to have a game of Triumph and Treachery...
Lano was starting to feel the effects of his weekend away and decided to sit out leaving the remaining armies of Chaos, Ogres, Dwarfs and Empire armies to make deals and back stab one another.
As regular visitors to this blog have seen I have had the pleasure of reviewing a number of miniatures from Atlantis Miniatures. From their beautiful dwarf range to the mighty Mythology collection which you read both reviews vis the links here Dwarf review and Mythology collection review
Today I have the pleaser of reviewing some examples of the new Ogre range that was a great success on Kickstarter last year.
Well what a weekend I had gaming this week. First at 9:30 am I received my copy of War Cry but I had to leave that unopened due to other plans BOOOO... But no big deal as later on I was off to Riots for some games.
It is late December 1944 and Allied forces have got the Nazis on the ropes. However the discovery of a miraculous energy source called Vril may well throw a spanner in the works.
Nazi secret experiments on the substance lead by theVrilmeisters, are a threat not just to the outcome of the war but to the whole world!
If they learn how to harness this power who can stop them?
Who else but the Reich Busters...
Mythic Games are back on Kickstarter with a brand new game Reich Busters lets take a look at this new campaign.
When theres something strange in you letter box who you gonna call..... Model Box.....
Ok ok enough of the bad jokes to day I received something spooky in my letter box and its from the good people at Model Box with their October Subscription box themed around you guessed it Horror!!
Let take a look in this months box if you dare.......
Well over the last few months you must have heard that Kings of War Vanguard by Mantic Games is headed to retail and Kickstarter backers have become giddy as boxes arrive on their doorsteps.
Well if you are like me I did not back the Kickstarter and I am slightly regretting it but I am caught up in the buzz and making up for it...
Over the last couple of months there has been a lot of buzz regarding a weekly released Warhammer 40,000 collection magazine called Conquest which is only available in the UK at the moment that will be hitting outlets as well as having a subscrition service.
Pictures have been released online of the first 4 issue with number 1 released today at an amazing
£1.99!!
So whats the hype about then well I managed to grab a copy and I am going to give you a review and my thoughts on this collection.
Gamers of a certain age have found memoeries of starting their journeys with Heroquest who can forget this advert!
Well during the days before ebay (yes a long time ago it feels) I picked up a copy of Heroquest for I think £5 at the time I must have been 10.
I remember playing with the mins and board playing my own games not to the rules as alias I had no one to play the game with as no one I knew like gaming...
After a time it went in the loft and when I went to surch for it again a few years later.....It was gone thrown out after my parents decided to clear out the loft....Nooooo...
Its now 20 odd years later and I have been wanting to get a dungeon crawler for a while. As I was in the market for this type of game I thought I would have a look out for Heroquest.
The price of the game has skyrocketed so after scouted Ebay for a while for a bargain my luck came in..
I put a cheeky bid in for a copy of Heroquest the Advanced Quest edition wth extra minis and quests and I won...
I got a little creative the other day.
I have a light box which has been working well for pictures but sometimes you want to set a scene so I thought with the extra foam board I have from a DIY project why don't I make a scenic backdrop for my photos.
I decided to go for a natural setting allowing the backdrop to be used for different game systems and looked at doing a side of a mountain or rock wall.
Over the past week I have been looking around for a paint shelf to fit all my paints. Easy right well not really as it seems all the shelfs that are on sale just fit GW paint pots.
I have a mixture of dropper bottles old style GW paint post (ones with the white cap and old hexagon style) plus P3 pots which all were different sizes.
