Saturday night saw myself, Alister and Riot play a three way game of Triumph & Treachery.
Alister would be running out his Orks , Riot his Chaos Warriors and myself brought the Dwarfs.
We decided to use the saw army lists that were used at Riot Ville Live.
We set up and Chaos draws first turn...
We all start the game with 3 brass coins and 3 cards which we can use to disrupt players and help during the game. We can even use coin to bribe players.
More coins are awarded if a player kills a unit and the amount will depend on the points value of the unit.
The Chaos Warriors split their attention and forces aiming both the Orks while the Knights and Chaos Hounds turn there attention to the Dwarfs.
Chaos then decides to cast a spell to attack the Gyrocopter near by but the Wizard miscasts...A wound is inflected on the Gyrocopter but the miscast is disastrous and kills 13 Warriors and the Wizard.. Opps..
The Orks move up the field and start to meet the oncoming Chaos army.
The Dwarf guns move toward the oncoming Chaos army.
The Hounds and Knights charge the Gyrocopter which flees the scene leaving the Knights and hounds open to gun fire.
The gunfire rips through the Knights and Hounds leaving two Knights .
The Orks charge in and make light work of the Chaos Hounds.
The Orks use the Hand of Mork to move their unit to close to the dangerous death unit of Khorne Warriors.
The Orks then choose to shoot at the Chaos army so I play a card that allows the Dwarfs to shoot a unit of my choice and kill the last of the Knights.
The rest of the Chaos Warriors decided to double down and go after the Orks and start to wade through the Spider Riders.
As the Dwarfs are to far from the action they shoot with the Organ gun at a unit of Spider Riders which are destroyed.
This seems to help Chaos in the continued battle in the middle of the table.
Feeling devious I play a card which on any double is a miscast for the Orks.
This was the roll.
The miscast makes another huge explosion killing some black Orks, the Ork Wizard and some Warriors of Khorne.
Not a very good day for magic.
The Orks decide to take aim at the oncoming Chaos Trolls but I play these cards.
Which proves to be a huge hinderance to the Orks.
The Orks are in rage and kill the last of the Khorne Warriors but the oncoming Warriors ahead charge in.
While all this is going on the Dwarfs are just sitting and watching the action.
The Ork Bowman get charged by the Trolls and in doing so cause a panic which the Orks the roll and run.
Riot rolls a 10 to see if he catches and wipes out the unit.
But Alister's Orks roll this..
So no luck for Chaos.
Its the last turn and Dwarfs go first and move the Gyrocopter past the oncoming Giant and steams a couple of the Orks in the unit.
Thats all the Dwarfs can do now as they are so far away.
It time for Chaos and they continue to fight the Black Orks who lose combat and run.
But again they are to slow to catch the running Orks.
The Ork Bowman fail to rally and decided to run off the board.
The Orks last turn and they go straight for the Gyrocopter with the Foot of Gork which crushes the Gyrocopter.
This is also the last gambit where the Orks try and win the game by chargeung into the rear of the Chaos Warriors but the only Spider Riders that can get in to fight the Chaos Warrior unit fail their charge.
The Giant on the other hand gets into combat no problem.
Riot cleverly issues a challenge with his Lord which means his unit would be safe from all of the Giants attacks.
Some how the Chaos Lord survives while the giant gets a wound.
After this fight the game ends.
We count up all the coins and its a Draw between the Orks and the Dwarfs.
So that was T&T a great game I really enjoy playing.
I think this may be the last time I run out my Dwarfs for a bit as theres plans for a Blood in the Badlands campaign which is a good excuse to run out my new Ogres army.
Has anyone played Triumph and Treachery? What do you think of the game?
Any advice on starting an Ogre army in Blood in the Badlands?
Let me know.
