Gamemat.EU Highlands In War Game Mat Review

Over the past few months my collection of Gaming mats has been growing. I recently got a 4x4 mat as part of my Ebay mega deal for Shadow War games  which is called TriCity and I have been using another 4x4 called Arctic Mat.

Links to the games where both mats being used are here and here.

I found out that these mats were from Gamemat.EU and being impreased with the quility I have received a new 6X4 mat called Highlands In War.

I take a look at this mat and see how it shapes up.

Rolled out the mat has a good weight to it with at least 3mm of thickness.

The mat has a really nice sheen to it and the design has some nice features such as rocks and mud patches to brake up the green and gives the mat more depth.

The design of the mat is perfect for fantasy battles or if your looking for something as a base for a war torn battle field in modern or historical games or even if you are just looking for a huge lush field.

Moving miniatures on this mat is very easy with little resistance and dice rolling is easy and smooth.

Here are some pictures with some minis and terrain to show how quickly you can use this mat to make a grate looking battle field in seconds.

My thoughts..

This mat is a great addition to anyones mat collection if your looking for a large open battle field that can easily take terrain to suite your game.
The print is rich and has a nice sheen with a surface perfect for rolling dice and moving your minis around.

The design has enough rocks and mud patches to catch the eye and brake up the land scape and having a carry case included with the mat is always handy for storage and transport.
The price of the mat is what you would expect but you do get what you pay for and is worth the cost  in my opinion.

If you like this design but need it smaller  Gamemat.eu can provide this design in smaller sizes just like most of their other mat ranges.
