Review: Your Model Box Modern Combat

This week a little later then normal due to the current situation with the world I have another Your Model Box for you all to see and this month (May) theme is
Modern Combat.

Let's take a look inside the box.

Firstly we have another brush this month with a Your Model Box logo and its a size 00 perfect for precision painting and getting all those denials on you miniatures.

Also we have some more paints from Coat D'arms in colours that fit the Modern Combat theme this month.
I have been using a few paints from this brand and I can tell you they are good. Not only do they look like the old school GW paints (Coat D'arms did make paints for GW back in the day) they even smell like them.. Brings me back to the late 90s.

Let's now focus on the miniatures in this months box and there are some crackers.

First up we have the model box exclusive which is bases on a special forces operative like the SAS.

As you can see this solider is well equipped for any mission.

Next up we ave a miniature from Empress Miniatures which is another British solider special forces.
Cast in metal this miniatures looks like he means business.

The last miniatures in the box are from White Dragon Miniatures.
In a special box as well as a code for money off on the online store comes two resin miniatures.
One is a British solider and another from the Taliban Forces.

Both castings look great, crisp and great detailing.

Lastly in the box we have this months sweets which are some sherbet and the flyer with next months (June) theme which is Your Model Boxes Birthday.

So my thoughts.

I personally don't play any Modern Combat games but this has giving me a look into the quality  miniatures that are being produced in this area.
Even if you don't play any Modern Combat  genre of games theses miniatures would fit perfect in any post apocalyptic/ zombie style game that you can bring your own miniatures too.

The Your Model Box exclusive special operative looks really good with crips detail and lots of equipment which makes it looks ready for action.

I like the Empress Miniatures British special forces officer as its not overly crammed with little details but his pose and overall look has some gravity to it.

Lastly the resin miniatures  from White Dragon Miniatures are really crips with great poses and detail in the faces and cloths that painters will enjoy picking out. (lucky theres a detail brush this month.)

Overall another box that has personally opened my eyes to new companies and genre in the tabletop gaming scene.
