We cant have too many Fantasy miniatures right?
Well today I have some miniatures from CP Models who kindly sent over some examples of their Fantasy range for me to review.
You may recognise the name CP Models on the blog as last month I painted one of CP's Heavy Trooper Ogyrn which I am pleased to say is being featured on their website which can check it out here
But let's take look at the Fantasy Miniatures
The CP Models I have here today are all from the Chaos Dwarf miniatures range and are a little differnt from what you would expect from your normal Chaos Dwarf.
First we have the three armed Chaos Dwarf
As you can see this is a one piece metal miniature with lost of areas to work on flesh tones.
This next miniature is a Chaos Dwarf but with trident perfect for that underwater army or if you wanted to make a underwater themed army or warband.
This next miniature is a two faced miniature so you know your character will have eyes in the back of his head.. No sneak attacks here.
One is side is a Daemon looking character and the other a classic Dwarf.
This is a Chaos Dwarf that has tentacles.
I like the face with its big eyes and beard and theres something about it that makes me feel he is an inn keeper who got on the wrong side of a wizard and tuned him into this form.
Lastly from the this range we have a Chaos Dwarf Cyclopes ready to charge at your foes with his club.
Here are all of the Chaos Dwarfs together and as you can see they make a great bunch of prefect for D and D or you next warband in your chosen skirmish game.
All of these miniatures have some nice charm and on that side of odd that fits the chaos theme.
There's also nothing stopping you getting a few of each miniature and making one big unit of particular miniature to form a large Fantasy army.
But the review does not end here I also have to show you some very cool Ninja Goblins.
Yes your have read that right Ninja Goblins..
Each Ninja Goblin looks to have its own unique skill so great for creating a warband.
You can imagine these sneaky Goblins getting up to no good and causing all sorts of havoc with their mix of shooting and close combat attacks.
My thoughts....
Right off the bat I really enjoyed painted these miniatures. Each one was unique in character and allowed me to experiment when painting.
The casting of the Chaos Dwarfs is really nice with little bits of clean up here and there but nothing unexpected with a metal miniature.
When put all together they look like a great little warband or even as monsters for your dungeon crawler games.
The Ninja Goblins were very easy to paint too but you will need to pin/glue one of the swords which only has a small area to fix to so take your time as the metal is only thin on the swords and they can bend easily.
All in all these are fun miniatures and I found great to paint. I have know doubt these miniatures will add interesting monsters or characters your games.
The prices point is only a couple of pounds for each miniature which is very reasonable and maybe good for some newer or younger games who want to try there hand at painting some interesting characters or those who want to fill their ranks in their fantasy armies.
CP Models has a large range of miniatures for Fantasy and Sci fi so if you would like to purchase the miniatures featured or would like find out more information about CP Models
