It's that time of the month again where I get to show you all this months Your Model Box.
This month we are marching on to Battle
Let's take a look inside.
First up is this months exclusive Your Model Box miniature and its of a Kneeling Solider which is an intreasting pose as most of the time you see sculpts like theses either running towards the enemy or aiming at something.
Your Model Box wanted to give a differnt take to make a story for a posable diorama.
Is he reading a book? Looking at old photos or map maybe?
Next we have some miniatures from Bad Squiddo Games which are two female soldiers.
one is Soviet Snipper and the other the Spotter
I like the poses on the miniatures as again they have good composition to them which allow them to be used as an army unit or as part of diorama to tell a story.
Annie at Bad Squiddio Games produces realistic female miniatures and has a kickstarter from 7th-14th April which features more women from the red army.
So If you are looking for some more recruits keep your eyes peeled on all Bad Squiddo Games social media pages.
The last of the miniatures in the box this month are the Chindit Characters from Waerlord games.
The Chindits were the Spec-OPs units in the British and Indian armies during the Bruma campaign in WW2.
In this pack we get Major-General Wingate, Major Ferguson and George Albert Cairns.
These have a commanding pose and are all in once piece metal.
As you would expect from Warlord Games these will fit perfectly in your games of Bolt Action.
Talking of dioramas in this months box you also get some handy Barbed Wire from Warlord Games perfect for creating those dynamic dioramas or for creating terrain on your gaming table.
Thats not all this month we also have some paints from Vallejo Model Colour.
and of course we have this months sweets.
Lastly we have the flyer with all the information about the companies and product featured in this months box.
We also see next months theme is Crusade.
My thoughts..
This months box has an interesting mix of miniatures that will intreats painters and allow for creative stories told via dioramas and clever basing.
I like the fact we have a good mixture of styles of miniatures from the classic Warlord Games WW2 style miniatures to the Your Model Box miniatures which has a pose allowing fro the painter to be creative with the story and the Soviet Sniper and Spotter which tells the story of female Soldiers during WW2.
Having the Barbed Wire to help create bases and terrain and the addition of some colours from Vallejo Game colour is a good choice as they do a good range of historical colours which is handy if you want to get the uniforms historically accurate.
All in all an interesting box this month allowing for stories to be created and told with these miniatures via subscribers painting and imaginations.
I look forward to seeing what subscribers create in this months Your Model Box painting competition.
