Unboxing: Model Box Halfling February 2021

In todays unboxing we dive into the world of hobbits and Halflings as we explore February's Model Box

Let take a look inside.

First up we have a miniature form Lucid Eye Productions and it's a Halfling Thief.

This one piece metal miniature looks like he is up to no good so watch out.

We also have another miniature metal miniature and this time it's from Midlam Miniatures.

Tarquin Nettlshins is one of many Halflings on offer for Midlam Miniatures as you can get Undead Halflings, Bad Halflings, Halfling Towns Folk and more.

I have a few miniatures form Midlam Miniatures and I can say these do paint up really nicely.

The Halflings continue with a Halfling Fighter from Devale Miniatures/Forgemaster Miniatures.

This miniature is the smallest miniature out of all that is in the box and seems to have more realistic proportions.

The last miniature in the box is a Model box exclusive and it's of the most famous Halfling in the world.

Inspired by JRR Tolkien' books and called There and  Back Again its Bilbo Baggins.

I love this miniature the composition and pose is great and I am sure this months painting competition on the Model Box Community Facebook page will be full of great entries.

That is not all you get this month.

In the box there is some more terrain from TT Combat called Halfling Produce.

This will perfect for D and D games and as scatter terrain on you tabletop.

Theres paint too courtesy of Instar Paints.

This month it includes a promotional flyer explaining how Instar Paints used this picture to take a colour sample to create this months paint.

This could be a great tool for painters trying to find unique colour combination from reference pictures.

Also in the box we see the return of the sweets!

The last thing in the box to show is this months flyer with information about all the companies used in this months box and next months theme which is Battle.

So my thoughts..

Who would have thought there were so many Halfling models out there.

I really like this months exclusive Model Box miniature not only is it Bilbo Baggins but the miniature is sculpted really well and love the details like the mushrooms on the tree trunk.

Having a variety of Halflings from Lucid Eye, Midlam Miniatures and Forgemaster Miniaturers gives you a nice over view of what designs are out there with Midlam Miniatures being more fantasy orientated where the Forgemaster is smaller but looks more realistic in proportions.

More paint from Insta Paint this month is always a welcome addition as they are good to use. Also the TT Combat terrain is great as it can be used in lots of games and will be fun to paint.
