Review: Your Model Box August Wastland Theme

On todays blog I have another review for you and this time its Augusts Your Model Box which is themed Wastelands.

Think baron lands, mutants, chemical spillages humanity fighting to survive thats the tone of this genre of games and Your Model has brought a fine selection of miniatures and paints to help you set the scene.

Let's take a look..

One of the most iconic games you can think of in this genre of Wastland has to be the Fallout series of games which has been very popular on all gaming consoles.
Modiphius has tuned this popular game into a tabletop game and in this months box we get the iconic Brother hood of Steel power armoured miniature.

This resin miniature comes in 4 parts with a really nice base and shape details.
This is a prefect miniature to get you started with the fall out games ascetic.

Next we have a miniature from Crooked Dice from their Z TV range which is a skirmish set of rules which allow you to recreate any film or Tv show.
Here we have a two part metal miniature of a human survivor perfect for you RPG apocalyptic games.

I am a fan of Corked Dice and I have a few miniatures from them including all of the ghostbusters.

Next we have a Model Box exclusive Mutant miniature.
This miniature would make a great creature in your games and with all of the Model Box miniatures it has great detail.

I really like all of the boils and growths on this miniature and how it looks like its left arm does not work properly in the pose.

With all these miniatures  you also get some handy tufts from Army Painter which are really good to finish off a base in that wasteland style.

Also this month and I must say I am a fan of these paints are two paints form Instar paints which are Rust Brown and Acid Green. Some really good colours for this theme.

Also in the box this month you get some sweets and the flyer for more information on this months items and their company's as well as a sneak peek for next months theme which is Outlaw.

My thoughts.

The miniatures and accessories in this months box are really good and versatile to the theme.
The Instar paint colours are perfect with Rust Brown for rust effects and the Acid Green for toxic waste.
Also the tufts form Army Painter are really good colours and useful to add the finishing touch to your bases.

The Fallout miniature is a classic icon of the series and as the game only needs 3 miniatures to start player you are not far off being able to play the game.

The Crooked Dice miniature like most of their range has great character and would fit in any RPG/Skirmish Sci fi/Apocalyptic game.

The Model Box exclusive miniature is great I really like the pose of this miniature and I have loads of ideas where I can use it.
