Unboxing: Your Model Box Living Dead

Tonight on the blog I have something spooktacular for you all with the unboxing of this months Your Model Box with the Living Dead theme.

Let's take a look..if you dare...

First up in the box this months box are some themed bases from Alien Labs which have plenty of grave stones and sprits.

I have liked all of the previous bases by Alien Labs that have been in the past months themed boxes as they all have the ability to really help set a tone for a model and add that finishing touch.

Next up we have a male and female zombie form Forlorn Hope Games.
When inspecting the miniatures they seemed a little flat when you turn them to the side. They do need a bit of clean up to do but I am sure these will paint up just fine.

One thing that was interesting to see was that all of the packaging was recyclable with the plastic bag being bio degradable.

Next we have some more zombies but Swamp Zombies from Frostgarve.

These have dynamic creepy poses which you could easily use some resin to make a swamp like base for them to be crawling out from.
These again need a bit of a clean up but nothing major at all.

The last of the miniatures in the box this month is a Your Model Box exclusive which is a Zombie Spaceman.
When I first saw this for some reason I had Davis Bowies Space Oddity In my head so he will be called Major Tom.

This one piece resin miniature is a great sculpt and has some great details such as the zombie face and the broken glass on the helmet.
The pose where the model looks like its floating and reaching out for a fresh victim is well done.

In the box you also get some paints and these are provided by Green Stuff World with a handy Zombie Flesh colour and some Blood Effects paint.

And lastly you thought that was all the treats in this months box but you are wrong you also get these sweets too.

Not forgetting you also get this months flyer with all the details of the companies and items in this box  with a preview of next months box
Dungeon Level 3

So my thoughts..

This months box ticks all he boxes with the living dead theme with enough Zombies to shake a stick (or cricket bat) at and with the paints that will be perfect to get the dead flesh and blood and gore looks down.

The Forlorn Hope Games Zombies look a little flat compared to the Frostgrave Zombies but if these were all mix together in a horde or part of a RPG games these would give verity in the looks of your Zombies.

The Alien Lab bases look great as usual and are enough to fit all 4 of the Zombies in this months box and I am sure will be great to paint.

It was also nice to see that there was also an Sci Fi Zombie in the form of the Your Model Box exclusive as well.

Well I hope you all have a Happy Halloween this year.
